Sunday afternoon in Oslo:
Summer is here and it’s warm and sunny outside… What to do? Seaside (fjord side to be precise) grilling of course!
Good summer days in Oslo are precious and grilling is a must! Today on the BBQ: Burgers!
This is my husbands goto recipe for Burgers, from the meatlover’s online bible (according to him) amazingribs.com.
As our family’s self proclaimed GRILLMASTER, he has spent hours upon hours researching the best techniques fat to meat ratios, grilling temperatures, the works.
Served with coleslaw, sharp aged cheddar and bacon ,combined with the smoky flavour of the grill and almost melt in your mouth texture were a true Sunday treat.
- 400 gr Minced beef
- 150 gr Bacon
- 1/4 tsp Onion powder
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- Mix the minced beef and bacon in a meat grinder add spices except for salt and form 4 lose patties. Grill in undirect heat or in low heat, about 110deg C, for about 10 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on the top at the end.
- Fry up a slice of bacon and add a slice of cheese on top of your burger, finally, whip up a delicious coleslaw to compliment you burger.
