This baked spice feta cheese is one of my many attempts to lengthen our fall holidays and keep the memory of the Greek island warm and alive in our minds. What better way to transport oneself to a warm beach restaurant than to recreate the fabulous food in Greece?
One of our favorite vacation spots in Greece is Crete, it is just such a wonderful island with many fantastic beaches such as Elafonessi. In general, the food in Crete is just to die for and our favorite beach restaurant Nemo has such amazing food that every time we return home I spend months trying to replay
our Greek dinners. I hope this dish transports you to warmer places as it does me. Enjoy!
Baked spicy feta
- 1 180gr Feta cheese block
- ½ small onion julienned
- ½ small green bell pepper julienned
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp olive oil
- sriacha to taste
Preheat the oven to 180℃.
Place a large enough piece of aluminum foil in an baking tray.
Place the feta block in the middle of the aluminum foil.
Spread the onion and green bell pepper over the feta cheese.
Drizzle the oil, oregano, and sriracha and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Join all the foil ends creating a small pouch. Make sure the foil sits loose around the Feta cheese.

Take the tray out of the oven and open the foil carefully.
